I am a highly accomplished Specialist Physiotherapist with extensive experience in neurological rehabilitation, managing a diverse and complex patient cohort including individuals with stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Guillain-Barré syndrome, encephalitis, functional neurological disorders, and peripheral neuropathies. In addition, I have significant experience treating medical and orthopaedic patients, including those recovering from hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as individuals with low back pain, acute and chronic pain conditions, recurrent falls, arthritis, and sedentary lifestyles.
My role is defined by a high level of professional autonomy, advanced clinical expertise, and substantial leadership responsibilities, positioning me as a key contributor within the multidisciplinary team. I independently manage a complex caseload, demonstrating specialist clinical skills across the entire patient pathway. I am responsible for the comprehensive assessment of complex patients, developing detailed problem lists, applying robust clinical reasoning, and designing individualised, evidence-based treatment plans. I take a strategic approach to rehabilitation, overseeing and coordinating each patient’s journey to optimise outcomes.
I have specialist expertise in the prevention and management of complications, alongside providing expert therapeutic advice. My practice includes detailed assessment of mobility, balance, and transfers, utilising advanced rehabilitation techniques to maximise functional independence, safety, and quality of life.
My Background
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002 and have built my career across diverse healthcare systems, including stroke rehabilitation with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (NHS Wales) and senior physiotherapy roles managing complex neurological, orthopaedic, and MSK caseloads. I hold a PhD in Basic Science for Physiotherapy and a Master's Degree from Cairo University, giving me a strong evidence-based foundation that I bring into every treatment plan.
